Pizza Making Recipe
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet instant yeast (or half a packet of active dry yeast)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups lukewarm water
For the Sauce:
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Toppings:
- Mozzarella cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Sucuk (Turkish sausage)
- Sausage
- Sun-dried tomatoes
- Mushrooms
- Corn
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the lukewarm water, instant yeast, sugar, and olive oil. Let it rest for a few minutes until frothy.
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Knead until you have a smooth and elastic dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
While the dough is rising, prepare the sauce by mixing the tomato sauce, olive oil, dried basil, and dried oregano in a bowl. Set it aside.
Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach (usually around 230-250°C or 450-500°F).
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into portions for the desired number of pizzas. Roll each portion out into a thin circle on a floured surface.
Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread a generous amount of the prepared sauce over the dough.
Add your chosen toppings, such as mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sucuk, sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and corn.
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing.
Slice the pizza and serve hot.
Enjoy your homemade pizza!
