Pizza Making Recipe

  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (or half a packet of active dry yeast)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups lukewarm water

For the Sauce:

  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Toppings:

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Sucuk (Turkish sausage)
  • Sausage
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • Mushrooms
  • Corn

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the lukewarm water, instant yeast, sugar, and olive oil. Let it rest for a few minutes until frothy.

  2. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Knead until you have a smooth and elastic dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. While the dough is rising, prepare the sauce by mixing the tomato sauce, olive oil, dried basil, and dried oregano in a bowl. Set it aside.

  4. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature it can reach (usually around 230-250°C or 450-500°F).

  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into portions for the desired number of pizzas. Roll each portion out into a thin circle on a floured surface.

  6. Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread a generous amount of the prepared sauce over the dough.

  7. Add your chosen toppings, such as mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sucuk, sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and corn.

  8. Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing.

  10. Slice the pizza and serve hot.

Enjoy your homemade pizza!
