Tomato Soup Recipe
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them in butter until the onions are translucent.
Add the flour and cook for a few minutes over low heat, stirring constantly, to make a roux. Ensure the flour doesn’t brown.
Pour in the tomato puree, water, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
Once the mixture is boiling, add the milk and continue stirring.
Let the soup simmer for a few more minutes until it reaches a creamier consistency.
Your tomato soup is now ready to be served.
