Tomato Soup Recipe

  • 2 cups tomato puree
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 cups water

Instructions:

  1. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them in butter until the onions are translucent.

  2. Add the flour and cook for a few minutes over low heat, stirring constantly, to make a roux. Ensure the flour doesn’t brown.

  3. Pour in the tomato puree, water, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.

  4. Once the mixture is boiling, add the milk and continue stirring.

  5. Let the soup simmer for a few more minutes until it reaches a creamier consistency.

  6. Your tomato soup is now ready to be served.
